Good News

We are happy to announce that rehearsals have re-started, usual time 7pm, usual place St. Mary's Community Church, Bramall Lane.
We look forward to welcoming back our existing members and extend a warm welcome to anyone who would like to join us.

We have carried out a risk assessment to ensure that all precaution are taken to ensure the room is safe for us to attend and if the regulations remain we are hoping to perform a Christmas Concert.

Appointment of a new Musical Director

The City of Sheffield Teacher’s Choir, established in 1968, is a non-auditioned 50 strong mixed-voice choir from all walks of life which sings a wide variety of music in its performances of at least 3 concerts per year plus ad-hoc sings at Christmas. Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings, in the centre of Sheffield from early September through to mid July.

After 34 years, our current Musical Director is retiring and so the Choir is looking for someone to take over in January, 2022. The successful applicant is required to uphold the high standards of singing achieved, as well as bringing new ideas and enthusiasm to enhance the Choir’s future.
